Drone swarm software company Swarmer has announced an equity investment in a new company, Vectus Air Defense Systems.
As reported on the Swarmer website, the latter is headed by the founder of Blackwater PMC, Eric Prince.
The new company specializes in providing air defense services to governments and critical infrastructure operators.
It is known that Vectus Air Defense Systems will develop, integrate and operate multi-level air defense systems. At the same time, the company will be responsible for the architecture of such systems, equipment, personnel, operation, management and maintenance, that is, it will provide comprehensive services in this area.
«It is clear that the threat landscape is evolving rapidly and the demand for private sector solutions is high. We need to drive down the cost of air defense services and empower customers to take control of their critical assets. This is not just a business opportunity, but a societal imperative,» said Erik Prince, founder of Vectus Air Defense Systems.
It was previously reported that the founder of PMC Blackwater is allegedly trying to buy Ukrainian drone manufacturers.
