This is reported by Militarny, citing InformNapalm. At first, Russia used unmodified servos, which it purchased through a series of gasket companies.
They are used in the automotive, not military, industry, so due to the high loads on the wings, the shafts often broke, and the engine could not cope with the load. Because of this, the Russians turned to the manufacturer with a request to make modifications to strengthen the servo drive.
During 2024, the TRC plant, at the request of Russian companies, allegedly made five changes to its product. In particular, individual components began to be made of high-strength alloys, and the engine was also replaced with a more powerful one.
Activist Labas reported that after information was published about the supply of the Taiwanese company TRC with an elemental base for the production of weapons to the Russian Federation, sanctions experts and the Taiwanese public were involved in the investigation.
They found out that although the name of the Taiwanese company appears in the procurement documents, the real TRC has nothing to do with these spare parts. The manufacturer of the servos turned out to be the Chinese company KST Digital Technology Limited, notes «Military».
Last spring, an analysis of the hulls of the guided bombs used indicated that the occupiers had established their mass production. It is practically impossible to shoot down such bombs, and the air defense systems available to Ukraine, such as the BUK-M1 (range of about 40 km) and the S-300 complexes (about 60–70 km), do not have a sufficient range to hit Russian aircraft launching bombs from UMPK. This can be done by Western models of SAMP/T and Patriot equipment, which have a range of 120 km and over 150 km, respectively.
