Sadovy emphasized that the city systematically supports the army — in particular, it purchases drones, anti-drone systems, and other equipment at the request of the military.
«As a city, we buy drones every day, we buy anti-drone systems, we buy everything that is asked of us and we deliver. We spend a large portion of the city budget on supporting the military. Therefore, I think there are a lot of questions for everyone,» he said.
The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdy («Magyar»), responded to these words in the format of a public response, calling for refraining from public accusations against the military.
According to him, the current intensity of attacks is unprecedented: in 2026, there was not a single completely «quiet» night, and every day at least a hundred drones are recorded in the sky of Ukraine, sometimes up to 400-500. In such a reality, he calls the question «why some drones fly» more a question of mathematics than inefficiency.
«15 shaheeds out of 556 today reached the target. This is 3%. There is no such air defense system on the planet that would provide a 100% result,» the military man emphasized. According to his assessment, Ukrainian air defense destroys 95–97% of targets — and this, despite the constant load, is one of the highest possible indicators in modern warfare.
He also emphasized that while there is always room for improvement, public reprimands for those who «work day and night» seem unfair.
As a reminder, on March 24, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine. Hits were recorded in Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia.
