The company noted that the acquisition of Hitteps will expand its brand presence in Europe and create new jobs in Ukraine and Poland. Thus, TechMagic will be able to serve a wider range of industries.
«The reason for Salesforce is its narrow profile of specialists, finding and hiring them is a long and expensive process», — Lydia Dats, co-founder and HR manager at TechMagic, told Scroll.media. In order not to waste time, the company was ready for M&A.
In 2022, TechMagic already acquired the Kyiv-based company Dynamo Development in order to strengthen its presence in the American market.
TechMagic wanted to find a startup to acquire in the UK, but it failed to find «a company with the appropriate scale and acceptable conditions.» But thanks to the support of the M&A office of the Lviv IT Cluster, it was possible to acquire a promising company in Poland, noted Andriy Kuzmich, co-founder and CTO of TechMagic.
The former Hitteps teams in Warsaw and Krakow will focus on working with local clients and will operate as a separate delivery unit, while the manager will retain his position and continue his work.
Although the acquisition and integration of a European company by a Ukrainian business is quite unusual for Ukrainian IT, this deal is not the only such case. Earlier, Ukrainian provider of autonomous post office technology Jetbeep announced the acquisition of its partner, Parcelsea, an Estonian company specializing in the production of post offices for private homes and communities.
