«So far, everything is 60% ready, and in a month and a half, consumers will see a completely updated brand,» says the co-owner of the chain, Oleksiy Gulyy, in a comment to Forbes.
According to the publication, «Techno Izhak» currently has a network of 70 «islands» in shopping centers and seven stores. However, as a result of the upcoming rebranding, the islands will remain under the name «Techno Hedgehog», and the stores will be renamed simply «Izhak».
At the same time, the company, according to the co-owner, plans to become a leader in the sales segment of phone protection — cases and protective glass.
As Oleksiy Huly says, in the 12 years of the brand’s existence, they have never changed the fonts or identity. Plans to do so were disrupted first by the coronavirus crisis, and then by a full-scale war.
The co-owner of Techno Izhaka reported that they decided to carry out the rebranding without involving marketing agencies, on their own, spending $30,000 for such purposes.
As for the issue of entering the white market for Apple equipment sales in Ukraine, according to Huly, the verification process as an authorized partner is currently underway.
In October last year, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that as part of the fight against the shadow electronics market, 170 actual inspections of stores that sold Apple products were being conducted. Among them were Yabko, Yabluka, and Techno Izhak.
Before that, the CEO of COMFY also spoke about the illegal sale of iPhone 16 in Yabko, Yabluka, and TechnoIzhak stores.
