A tech enthusiast turned a Nokia Lumia 1020 into an iPhone SE, retaining almost all of the iPhone's internal components

An enthusiast from the r/hackintosh subreddit turned a Nokia Lumia 1020 into an iPhone SE 3. He even kept the Touch ID button (now on the back) and the Lightning port (replaced by Lumai’s Micro USB).
Now this Lumia 1020 runs not on Windows Phone, which has not been supported by developers for many years, but on iOS 18.3.1.
It uses the internals of the iPhone SE 3, including a 12-megapixel rear camera, Touch ID, which was moved to the back to retain the Lumia 1020 design, a Lightning port, a Taptic Engine, and 5G.
«Inside the LumiPhone is the iPhone SE 3rd generation. Yes, 5G, and 5G works too (maybe this is the world’s first 5G Lumia?). This also means we’ve kept almost all the internal components of the original iPhone SE 3, including the still quite powerful A15 Bionic chip and 128GB of storage. Everything is original,» writes user OceanDepth95028.
Instead of a real shutter button, it’s a second volume down button, which also serves to take a photo.
«As for the software, as I mentioned earlier, it runs full iOS. Specifically, it’s currently iOS 18.3.1, which I just updated to. Yes, it gets OTA updates and everything works as it should (except for wireless charging and Apple Pay). After all, it’s running real iPhone hardware. I have a good signal and Apple Carplay works flawlessly too,» says the enthusiast.
