Group and channel administrators can now customize greetings that help new members adapt and receive important information without cluttering the general chat. The main feature is that these messages are only visible to new users who have just joined, Telegram reported in a blog post.
You can add multiple messages, media files, and advanced formatting (including tables and embedded content) to your greeting.
How to set it up: open the group or channel profile — click Edit — select Greetings and send the necessary messages. No additional bots or complex settings are required for this.
Developers can now place multiple functional buttons directly inside a single message. This allows you to create full-fledged mini-apps — from polls, horoscopes, and games (such as individual chess games) to product catalogs with the ability to order.
Such interactive blocks can be published in regular chats, groups, channels, or even integrated into welcome messages.
