On May 27, 2025, the Izmail City District Court of the Odessa region considered the case against a software tester from Global Logic LLC.
According to the case materials, on May 24 at 3:50 p.m. he was detained by border guards just 400 meters from the border.
According to the border guard protocol, the AIT citizen attempted to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine to Romania outside the checkpoint without documents for the right to cross the border.
The tester did not appear at the court hearing, but his written statement was included in the minutes, in which he admits guilt, agrees with the minutes, and requests that the case be considered without his participation.
Having considered the protocol on the administrative offense and having examined the case materials, the court finds that the IT worker committed an administrative offense by his actions. His guilt in attempting to cross the state border of Ukraine by any means outside the checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine is fully proven by the case materials examined by the court.
In the end, the court found the tester guilty and imposed a fine on him to the state revenue in the amount of UAH 3,400. The man must also pay a court fee of UAH 605.60.
The ruling may be appealed within ten days from the date of its issuance.
