The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified and put into operation the new domestic unmanned aerial vehicle complex JEDI Shahed Hunter. In addition to strike drones, the "Jedi" can also intercept enemy reconnaissance aircraft Zala and Supercam.
Technically, the JEDI Shahed Hunter is a vertical take-off and landing (VLT) copter built on a lightweight and durable frame and equipped with four high-performance electric motors.
With a total mass of just over 4 kg, the device is capable of carrying up to 500 g of payload, which is quite enough to guarantee the defeat of an enemy strike drone. The power of the power plant allows the interceptor to accelerate to 350 km/h and climb to an altitude of up to 6 km.
JEDI Shahed Hunter automatically receives data directly from radar stations, which allows it to enter the target detection zone and quickly destroy it. Thanks to the ground control station, stable communication and flight coordination are ensured, and the drone itself is able to automatically capture and target an enemy object.
JEDI Shahed Hunter can cover the sky from enemy drones within a radius of up to 40 km.
