The enemy is hacking surveillance cameras: Sergey "Flash" told how the Russian Federation finds and attacks Ukrainian drone factories

Russian troops are continuously hunting Ukrainian defense enterprises, actively using cyberattacks to identify secret locations.

This was stated by military expert on communications and drones, advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov during a panel discussion at the Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2026.

According to him, cybersecurity is currently a critical element of protecting the domestic military-industrial complex, as the enemy regularly tries to gain access to the internal systems of enterprises.

"We are recording that our enemy is hacking our video camera systems and "climbing" into production. This is a constant war, it is happening now in reality. The enemy is constantly hunting for this, studying these places and attacking," Beskrestnov noted.

"Flash" emphasized that this information is rarely advertised in the public space, but Ukraine constantly suffers losses due to such attacks. In particular, the expert mentioned the destruction of Lasar's Group's facilities, which suffered serious losses for a certain period due to the attack. Key enterprises of "Ukroboronprom" are also under constant attack.

The expert explained that it is physically extremely difficult to completely hide large-scale production.

“Imagine if 10,000 people in some production plant assemble drones at a rate of 30,000 per day. It’s very difficult to hide it. […] We try to minimize these losses, to remove equipment in advance, but it happens all the time. If we don’t learn to protect our production and our people, it will be very difficult,” “Flash” summed up.

Previously, Sergey "Flash" Beskrestnov called on the authorities to consider the possibility of introducing strict restrictions on the mobile communications market due to the new tactics of the Russians, who began to massively use Ukrainian LTE networks to guide their drones.

“This way we will instantly understand what new things the enemy is doing.” Serhiy Flesh wants to add to “Army+” the ability to send information about enemy equipment for analysis by specialists
