The European Commission is ready to provide Ukraine with access to the cybersecurity reserve

Cooperation in the field of cybersecurity includes the development of Ukraine's cyber potential through a working agreement between the EU Cybersecurity Agency and the relevant Ukrainian service.

The European Commission is ready to facilitate Ukraine's access to the EU Cybersecurity Reserve for rapid response and immediate recovery after cyberattacks. This was stated by the Vice-President of the European Commission for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Genna Virkunen, during the 11th Kyiv Security Forum for Youth "GEN W²: Program the Future", Interfax-Ukraine reports .

Virkunen emphasized that the European Commission supports Ukraine in overcoming the challenges associated with Russian aggression, especially in the areas of technology and cybersecurity.

"We are also ready to facilitate Ukraine's access to the EU cybersecurity reserve for rapid response and immediate recovery," the European official noted.

The Vice-President of the European Commission emphasized that this cooperation is mutually beneficial, as the EU can learn a lot from Ukraine's experience in countering cyber threats.

In addition to cybersecurity, Genna Virkunen named high-performance computing and artificial intelligence as other important areas of cooperation.

As a reminder, earlier the Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft law on the creation of the Cyber Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , which also provides for the creation of a cyber reserve with the involvement of civilian specialists.
