"The market is saturated, we are at the peak." The head of the electronic warfare department of the Land Forces announced the exhaustion of basic solutions for countering drones
Ukraine has reached its peak in the use of standard electronic warfare (EW) equipment, and the capabilities of the Chinese market for supplying basic solutions have already been exhausted.
Ukraine has reached its peak in the use of standard electronic warfare (EW) equipment, and the capabilities of the Chinese market for supplying basic solutions have already been exhausted.
This was stated by the Chief of Electronic Warfare of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Maksym Skoretsky, during a speech at the Kyiv cUAS Meetup, a professional meeting of manufacturers, developers, and users of anti-drone solutions, organized by the innovation hub of the Moodro company, a manufacturer of counter-drone systems.
According to Skoretsky, the stage when you could simply buy ready-made kits from China is over. The market is currently oversaturated with typical tools.
"We have almost reached the point where our future paths will be more or less closed. The Chinese market, no matter how rich and complete it is, we have exhausted all its functionality. Now we are simply playing with quantity and a certain kind of capacity," he emphasized.
He added that the enemy has an advantage in logistics and agreements with China, so Ukrainian developers need to move away from the "zoo" of similar means and focus on intelligent solutions: correctly identifying threats and building specific obstacles, rather than simply increasing radiation power.
