The Security Service of Ukraine and over 300 domestic arms manufacturers have agreed to jointly counter Russian special services. To protect defense-industrial complex enterprises from cyberattacks and data leaks, security forces have launched a new program called "Forpost".

According to the project initiators, the Counterintelligence and Cybersecurity Departments of the SBU, the new interaction system aims to protect defense enterprises from intelligence infiltration and digital threats. Representatives of defense-tech companies have already supported the initiative and agreed to create direct communication channels with the special service for quick access to professional assistance.

In general, the program covers three key areas. The first concerns countering intentional insider trading - SBU specialists will help identify employees who are being recruited or are already being used by Russian intelligence. The second area focuses on information hygiene. It should prevent accidental leaks when employees unknowingly disclose sensitive production details via social media, during industry events, or in interviews.

The third vector of cooperation will be strengthening cybersecurity. The SBU will warn companies about current hacker threats, carry out preventive measures to protect IT systems, and help investigate incidents and restore work after potential hostile attacks. Program participants will receive clear instructions based on experience in countering Russian cyber operations.

Recently, it became known about the high-profile NABU case "Carthage", in which law enforcement officers were exposed for leaking data from the "Safe City" system's video cameras to a criminal organization. The perpetrators used unauthorized access to the cameras for surveillance, kidnapping, and subsequent torture of people.
