In response to constant Russian attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine is actively developing a number of new projects aimed at strengthening the protection of these facilities. This was stated by the Head of the State Service for Special Communications Oleksandr Potiy at the conference "Strengthening the Resilience of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure: Strategic Ideas and Best International Practices" held in Kyiv.
"The Administration of the State Special Communications Service is currently initiating a number of new projects aimed at improving the coordination of our activities and clearer interaction of all stakeholders in the critical infrastructure protection system. And the support of these initiatives by the Estonian Academy of Electronic Governance is of great importance," noted the Head of the State Special Communications Service.
Among the key areas of work, he highlighted:
Creation of a communication system for operational interaction of all critical infrastructure protection entities in real time.
The intention is to create an international training center for critical infrastructure protection.
Formation of a network of cyber polygons based on regional cybersecurity centers.
The conference also presented the Collection of Best Practices for Critical Infrastructure Protection (Resilience) and the training course "Critical Infrastructure Protection".
This is not the first initiative of the State Service for Special Communications to create a training platform. Earlier, the Service announced the recruitment of cyber specialists for a course on the use of AI in cybersecurity. In parallel with the courses, a specialized educational platform is being created that will use generative AI technologies to increase the efficiency of training.
