Why is Russian software still among us?

Many Ukrainian companies still work on Russian software for several reasons.

Inertia and legacy. For decades, enterprises have been working on 1 °C, Garant, and Consultant+. These systems have become ingrained in business processes, and many fear that change will lead to chaos.

Lack of legislative pressure. For state agencies, the ban on the use of Russian software has been in effect since 2017. But there is no strict liability in the private sector.

High transition costs. New software means training, data migration, and process adaptation. And amid economic turbulence, even progressive companies are postponing these changes «for later.»
