The birds' geolocation data is updated every two hours on the website dtek.com/track-storks. To view the flight path, users simply select the name of a specific bird on the map.
The developers note that the geolocation update may be delayed if the storks are in areas with weak network coverage. According to ornithologists, the birds, whose signal was last recorded in Egypt, have now reached the territory of Sudan.

The launch of the “Track Storks” initiative at DTEK was first announced on July 31. Then, special trackers were given to 10 chicks to record their first journey to warmer climes to study migration routes and take these routes into account during the construction and modernization of power grids. The initiative became a digital continuation of the “Storks” environmental program, within the framework of which energy workers installed more than 900 safe nesting platforms on power line poles.
“You choose a chicken, pay 1,000 UAH per month, and in return you get two dozen eggs, also every month.” DTEK resident founded a startup that rents out chickens with a subscription for eggs
