The author’s project was inspired by discussions in the IT community and the trend of vibecoding.
"I often see in the comments that many vibecoders are making trackers and it’s time to make a tracker of trackers. I became curious about how many there really are, so I sat down with Claude and crawled through the Ukrainian App Store via Apple’s public API," the developer said on his social networks.
As of October 2026, the database recorded 7,011 trackers in the Ukrainian App Store, of which 1,784 support the Ukrainian language. The dynamics of releases indicates significant growth in the segment: at least 802 new Ukrainian-language trackers have appeared since the beginning of 2026 alone. This is 2.6 times more than the figure for the whole of 2025.
Despite the high activity of developers, 72% of new applications currently have no feedback or ratings from users. Victor Potoky explains this by saying that the development of simple products has become as accessible as possible, but only a few projects manage to find their audience.
"Anyone can make a simple app now, but most likely no one uses them. The few newcomers who did get the grades entered a narrow niche: calorie counting with AI, baby feeding tracker, car maintenance (or good marketing). There are many Ukrainian developers among them," the author of the development notes.
The catalog organizes trackers by niche. The largest number of products is recorded in the finance and money management category (308 applications). In second place are habit trackers (201), followed by mood diaries (184), calorie counting services (184) and sports trackers (160). The niches of sleep tracking, water, female cycle, daily routines and subscriptions remain less saturated.
The information is collected automatically using GitHub Actions and the public iTunes Search API. The algorithm searches for 45 narrow queries in Ukrainian and English, processes the first 200 Apple results for each of them, additionally checks related developer products and combines data by trackId. Due to technical limitations of Apple’s issuance, the final figures reflect only the lower limit of the real number of products on the market.
