Ukraine and the EU will be able to exchange data from state registers online. The first tests will be carried out with Finland and Estonia

Ukrainian and European government agencies will be able to exchange data from state registers without certificates from citizens. This fall, Ukraine plans to test such an exchange with Finland and Estonia. And in early 2027, a gradual transition of government services to the updated Trembita 2.0 system may begin.
Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Zakusylo told SPEKA about this.
"Trembita" works as a secure communication channel between state registers. For example, when you need to check information in another state database to receive a service in "Diya", the system allows you to do this automatically, without paper certificates.
Trembita 2.0 should transfer data faster, support European security standards, and allow multiple institutions to share equipment.
The updated "Trembita" has already been tested and has begun to be implemented. Before further transition, the Ministry of Digital Affairs plans to conduct security checks. State services will be transferred to the new version gradually so that they do not stop working during the update. According to Zakusyl, the system is also designed to work in emergency conditions.
"The Trembit system is quite stable. Even if all copies of the cores are turned off, it will continue to operate for another 72 hours," the official explained.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs is also preparing to work with the European Once-Only Technical System (OOTS). Its principle is that people do not have to re-provide information to state institutions that is already available in another EU country. For example, if a service requires a certain document from another state, institutions will be able to obtain the necessary data directly from each other.
Earlier, dev.ua wrote that the EU has allocated 10 million euros to Ukraine for digitalization. Part of these funds are planned to be spent on the development of "Trembita 2.0" and electronic services between Ukraine and EU countries.
