Ukraine has created a Sirko-S1 ground drone with the TROPIYA remote demining complex, which allows for minefield clearance without risk to the military. The new product was presented by the SkyLab team, which installed the TROPIYA system on the well-known Sirko-S1 platform.

The basic Sirko-S1 model weighs about 80 kg and is usually used to deliver ammunition, provisions and equipment to areas where it is too dangerous for a person to be. The drone can carry 130 kg in operating mode and up to 200 kg maximum. This is what allowed engineers to update the configuration and install the TROPIYA complex on it.
In its new form, Sirko-S1 can remotely open safe passages for infantry and equipment. The platform is accompanied by ammunition and training kits to enable the military to quickly master the system.
A guide for the rocket booster was installed in the rear of the drone. During launch, the rocket drags a demining charge 100–150 meters. Then, a cable brakes the parachute to stretch the charge along the minefield. When everything is in the right position, the charge detonates, neutralizing the mines and creating a passage. Such a charge is a shell with an explosive substance and a detonating cable inside.
Ukraine has previously received similar systems from partners, including the Swedish Minröjningsorm demining systems. The new Ukrainian version adds another tool to the military that can operate closer to the front line and without the participation of sappers under fire.
