This was reported by lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan on the portal «Yuristy.UA» when a man contacted him with the following situation.
A man from Kyiv said that he had brought a new document about passing the military service to the TCC and SP, where his military registration document was taken away for 10 days. They said that the information needed to be updated. The man asked if such actions bythe TCC and SP were legal.
The lawyer replied that the TCC and SP could do this in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 559 of May 16, 2024 «Procedure for registration (creation) and issuance of a military registration document for conscripts, military personnel and reservists»:
«24. A citizen of Ukraine may transfer a military registration document on a blank form to an employee responsible for maintaining military records for making changes, subject to receiving a receipt drawn up in the form in accordance with Appendix 3. The military registration document on a blank form shall be returned to the citizen of Ukraine no later than 7 working days from the date of issuance of such receipt .»
But the TCC and SP usually do not issue such receipts, which is uncritical, the lawyer notes.
«Regarding the fact that they took away your temporary certificate, they should make a note in it about the VLK you passed,» Ayvazyan emphasized.
