Two masked men set fire to 11 Starlink antennas in Bulgaria. MP accuses security services of inaction

Unknown people set fire to 11 of 17 Starlink antennas at a closed facility near Sofia. A local MP accused the security services of inaction and suggested that Russia could be behind the attack. A similar arson attack recently occurred in Poland.
This was announced by Bulgarian parliament member Ivaylo Mirchev from the "Yes, Bulgaria" party.
Mirchev was outraged not only by the attack itself, but also by the fact that the Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs initially did not inform the public about it at all. The politician recalled that shortly before the incident, the head of Bulgarian counterintelligence told him about the active fight against sabotage activities linked to Russia.
Now the MP wants to know whether foreign intelligence had warned about the possible arson, whether Bulgarian intelligence services knew about the threat, and why they were unable to prevent the attack.
It also turned out that it was easier for the attackers to get to the facility than it should have been. According to Plamen Tonchev, head of the Bulgarian special service DANS, the station was being expanded, so part of the fence was dismantled. This made access easier for the attackers.
On October 14, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev confirmed that the case was being investigated together with the special services of partner countries. However, he did not disclose details: according to him, this could hinder the investigation. The Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs has already increased security at such facilities. It has not yet been officially established who is behind the arson.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that on September 23, a Starlink ground station caught fire in Poland, which, in particular, provides satellite Internet to Ukraine.
