A new section "Obriy.Robota" and the first online service in it have appeared in the mobile application "Diya". From now on, Ukrainians can remotely terminate employment relations with an employer who is registered in a temporarily occupied territory or in a zone of active hostilities.
The project developers announced the launch of the digital service. To access the new feature, users need to update the "Diya" application to the latest version.
The new service allows you to terminate an employment contract completely automatically — without personally contacting the employer, employment service, or submitting paper documents. To use the service, you need to submit an application in the application and sign it using "Diya.Pdpisu". During processing, the system independently checks the employer's location against the list of occupied territories and combat zones. Dismissal occurs the next day after registration of the application, and data in state registers is updated automatically.
New section in the "Diya" service
Previously, the procedure required contacting state authorities and waiting for paperwork to be processed. According to the State Employment Service, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 11,714 citizens have applied to the TOT with applications for termination of employment relations. In total, as of 2022, about 65,000 legal entities were registered in these territories, most of which did not undergo re-registration.
"For thousands of people, formal official employment, which cannot be terminated in the old "paper" way, becomes a barrier that prevents them from moving forward - finding a new official job, obtaining unemployed status, or taking advantage of opportunities for professional development. Obriy removes this barrier," notes Oleksandr Tsybort, Deputy Minister of Economy for Digital Development.
Example of service operation in the "Obrij.Robota" section
The "Obriy.Robota" section plans to collect digital labor market services. In the near future, services for obtaining state grants for vocational training and retraining will also appear there.
"Obriy" is a digital ecosystem of the Ukrainian labor market that integrates data on vacancies, skills, educational opportunities, and public services. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Economy together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the administrator is the State Employment Service with the support of international partners.
