Fire Point reveals details about construction of solid rocket fuel plant in Denmark

The company announced this on its Telegram channel.
«This will be the first Ukrainian site related to missile production on NATO territory, as well as the first Fire Point production facility outside of Ukraine,» the defense company noted.
It is planned that the plant will produce solid rocket fuel not only for Fire Point, but also for other European defense companies.
Fire Point estimates that its capacity will be sufficient to refuel between 800 and over 4,000 missiles per year, depending on needs.
Construction has already begun. Work is currently underway to prepare the excavation for the main workshop.
CEO and CTO of Fire Point Iryna Terek explained the construction of the plant in Denmark primarily by security issues.
«The Russians are very much hunting for similar factories in Ukraine, constantly trying to bomb them… Denmark offered us a safe platform so that we could place our capabilities here and cover not only our needs, but also European needs,» she commented.
As dev.ua reported, the Fire Point solid rocket fuel plant in Denmark has turned out to be a much more complex and expensive project than the company initially estimated. Instead of around €50 million, it could cost €150 million or more, and the launch has been pushed back by about a year.
At the same time, Fire Point plans to produce enough solid rocket fuel to completely cover the deficit in Europe.
According to earlier plans, the Fire Point company wanted to build a plant in the town of Vojens in the south of the country.
