«Such private remotely controlled turrets with M2 machine guns operate at a distance of up to 2 kilometers. Their task is to cover critical infrastructure facilities. Any business can order private air defense services,» commented «Flash.»
Beskrestnov added that a private project of this type appeared earlier than a state one, because «business always acts faster.» «Less approvals and bureaucracy,» he summarized.
As dev.ua wrote, the Ukrainian company SHERIFF has received permission from the Ministry of Defense to provide services to protect facilities from threats from the air: it is already looking for a manager for this area.
Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers gave permission to create air defense groups for critical infrastructure enterprises, regardless of ownership, and according to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, one of the companies participating in the project has already completed the training of its air defense group and has taken up combat duty.
