“We have no opportunity to fail, because it would bury our reputation.” Kitsoft CEO spoke in detail about the development of DSOM

According to Kitsoft CEO Oleksandr Yefremov, almost all legal platforms on the market are connected in test mode to the first stage of the State Online Gambling Monitoring System developed by the company.
“As of August, 28 out of 31 licensed gambling organizers had been integrated into the DSOM,” he said in an interview with dev.ua.
He added that not all players are interested in the emergence of this regulatory system.
“There are players who are interested in the market becoming more structured, transparent and white, and there are those who are not interested. I am not ready to talk about specific personalities, because this discussion will not lead to anything. But there is definitely a public demand to reform this sphere. And the consequence of this is the development of DSOM — where the development deadlines are short, and the demand to make it qualitatively is very large. We have no opportunity to make a mistake, because this would bury our reputation,” Yefremov emphasized.
As Efremov says, to develop the first stage of the DSOM Kitsoft had to concentrate its main efforts on this product in a limited time.
“In 2.5 months, we gathered the most powerful team, focused it on this, created and launched a high-load platform based on Liquio, designed for 100,000 operations per second,” said the Kitsoft CEO, adding that the system passed penetration tests and a security audit and can withstand the necessary load.
According to Yefremov, previously the state did not have a tool that would give a complete picture of what was happening in the market — data on bets, winnings, refunds, transaction volumes, and this data was collected fragmentarily and manually.
“DSOM changes this approach, that is, data about any operation reaches the state at the moment of its implementation. This is real-time monitoring, and you can imagine the number of such operations from all platforms,” emphasized the head of the govtech company.
The second phase of DSOM, for which Kitsoft won the tender, is to expand the system from monitoring financial transactions to a “more comprehensive picture.”
“Secondly, the analytical capabilities of the system are being expanded: reports, analytics are being added, special algorithms can be connected that will find anomalies. Integration with government agencies is also planned. An important issue is data protection. The fundamental decision made by the state is that DSOM does not collect personal data of players,” he explained.
As Oleksandr Yefremov explained, information about operations is transmitted to the system in an impersonal format, that is, the state receives the data necessary for monitoring without disclosing the identity.
