Genesis-based food company OBRIO is laying off 43 employees, or approximately 13% of their total workforce.
According to DOU, in total, the team had about 300 employees before the layoffs.
OBRIO explained that the reason for the cuts is the desire to focus resources on key business units and carry out restructuring.
Employees who were laid off received a support package from their employer: additional payments in the amount of one salary, continued insurance for several months, assistance from the recruiting team with job search, and recommendations to other potential employers.
«The recruitment team has stepped in as personal career consultants for everyone affected by the changes: resumes, interview preparation, direct recommendations, and introductions to hiring companies. This support is not limited to the period of work at the company — we will continue to support colleagues after the end of cooperation,» OBRIO noted.
In addition, it is known that some specialists will be transferred to other areas within the company.
Recall that OBRIO is a product IT company founded in 2019. It is part of the Genesis ecosystem, and its main focus is the development of mobile applications and web products in the spiritual wellness niche.
As you know, the product IT company Wisey, part of Universe Group, announced a change in its business model and a further reduction in the team from 18 to 3 employees.
It should also be noted that the District Court for the Northern District of California extended the freezing of assets of ten companies associated with the Universe Group, Obrio, and AMO projects, as well as three individuals.
