«People’s deputies will register, and based on these changes there will be a by-law from the government. Most recently, on July 1, there was a meeting with representatives of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada,» she noted.

According to Kateryna Mykhalko, she has no doubt that the export of Ukrainian weapons will be open if the President declares it.
«Thank you to the President for the 'green light'. But, of course, we are waiting for the actual regulatory regulation… After the legislation is adopted, only then will it be possible to state that international markets for exports are fully open. But we see that legislative activities are taking place, and there is a movement towards new regulation,» she commented.
According to the head of the TSU, arms exports are of not only economic but also great political importance for Ukraine.
«Arms exports are not about crossing the border with a piece of iron. It’s about a mental model where our industry can freely cooperate at least with the European Union so that our industries integrate and we have a common security framework,» Mykhalko added.
At the same time, the executive director of the Technological Forces of Ukraine is confident that the decision on export in each specific case should be made in a balanced manner, taking into account, among other things, the position of the Ukrainian special services and all diplomatic contexts.
As dev.ua previously wrote, according to Kateryna Mykhalko and industry representatives, private arms manufacturers from Ukraine should be able to export their products, as export restrictions lead to the relocation of this business, and, as a result, a decrease in the share of defense tech in total IT exports and loss of export potential.
According to estimates by TSU specialists, in 2024, manufacturers of the defense-industrial complex did not produce more than 1.7 million weapons, although they had the capacity to do so.
