Sense Bank held the first meeting within the series of practical events "Sense for Self-Employed Entrepreneurs", launched for entrepreneurs looking for opportunities, tools and practical knowledge for business development. The event took place at Sense Hub Kyiv and was dedicated to the state grant program "Own Business".
Practical advice on participating in the "Own Business" program was shared by Yevhenia Bondarenko, Head of the Project Implementation Department of the Employment Programs Implementation Management of the Kyiv City Employment Center. She told what to pay attention to when preparing an application, what mistakes to avoid, and what happens after the grant is approved.
"If you have an idea for creating or developing a business, the state provides an opportunity to implement it. A grant is an opportunity to turn a business idea into a concrete business, so it is important not only to submit an application, but also to clearly understand how you plan to develop your business and use the support received," said Yevhenia Bondarenko.
Iryna Rudenko, Head of SME Credit Operations Development at Sense Bank, spoke about the bank's role in the grant process. She explained how the bank checks the business reputation of potential grantors, what banking opportunities are available to entrepreneurs, and what financial instruments can help small and medium-sized businesses grow.
"Sense Bank is one of the partner banks of the state program "Own Business", and we see a large demand from entrepreneurs on this topic - from preparing an application to further work after receiving a grant. It is important for us not only to accompany the client throughout the grant process, but also to be his financial partner in daily work. That is why we are developing convenient digital tools for individual entrepreneurs that help save time, simplify financial transactions, and focus more on developing their own business," noted Iryna Rudenko.
The topic of grant support aroused active interest among entrepreneurs: participants asked the speakers questions about preparing an application, documents, selection criteria, checking business reputation, and further work with the grant.
"Sense for Sole Proprietorship" is a space for dialogue with experts, bank representatives, and other entrepreneurs, where you can get answers to current questions, analyze real cases, and exchange experiences.
