Today, the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially presented the "Drone Forces" - an integrated system that combines the use of unmanned systems for reconnaissance, destruction, logistics, and evacuation.
Today, the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially presented the "Drone Forces" - an integrated system that combines the use of unmanned systems for reconnaissance, destruction, logistics, and evacuation.
The "Drone Forces" were led by Colonel Andriy Ostapenko. He emphasized that the new structure is not a separate branch of the military and does not duplicate the functions of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), but is designed to scale management and ensure deep integration of drones directly into the structure of the Ground Forces.
According to Colonel Andriy Ostapenko, the development of the Drone Forces involves comprehensive steps:
unification of all types of UAVs and ground robotic complexes into a common control and fire control system;
expansion of units, high-quality training of specialists and operational transfer of combat experience;
combining innovation with frontline needs.
"The Land Forces Drone Forces are about a single, deeply integrated structure and technologies that work where they are most needed. All in order to protect the lives and health of our people," the head of the department emphasized.
