A video of an interview with a North Korean IT professional went viral on X. He "cut himself off" when asked to call Kim Jong-un a pig

A video has gone viral on social media, supposedly depicting the process of interviewing an IT professional from North Korea, who, of course, does not recognize his country of origin.

This video was shared on the tanuki42 account.

«Here’s a video of a North Korean IT worker being stopped for demanding to insult Kim Jong-un. This method won’t work forever, but it’s a really effective filter for now. I haven’t met a single (North Korean — Ed.) person who could say that,» the account owner shared his observations.

In the video, the interviewer can be heard asking the candidate to call the country’s leader, dictator Kim Jong-un, a fat, ugly pig, in order to test his potential connection to North Korea.

Instead, the candidate initially pretends not to understand the situation, and later, when the request is repeated and the reason is explained, he simply disappears from the air.

As is known, the employment of North Korean IT professionals in Western IT companies is quite common. For example, last year, the United States eliminated a scheme to employ «remote IT workers» from North Korea, which brought the sanctioned country over $5 million in revenue.

dev.ua also wrote about how Amazondiscovered a hacker from North Korea who was posing as an IT professional from the United States.

Meanwhile, hackers from North Korea are also attacking European drone manufacturers under the guise of employment.
