Europe has become sharply interested in Ukrainian interceptor drones after the "Polish incident"
European countries have shown increased interest in the possibility of obtaining Ukrainian systems to combat Russian drones, in particular various models of interceptor drones.
European countries have shown increased interest in the possibility of obtaining Ukrainian systems to combat Russian drones, in particular various models of interceptor drones.
According to the Kyiv Independent, this happened after the unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by Russian kamikaze drones on September 10.
«We have previously discussed investments in interceptor drones with the Ukrainian side, but now we are even more interested in them. We need to be ready for war, so it is time to learn from Ukraine,» a European military diplomat told the publication on condition of anonymity.
In addition, the publication writes that within just a few hours of the incident in Poland, Ukrainian defense consulting firm Triada Trade Partners noticed a surge in requests from Europe for interceptor drones and electronic warfare systems.
The head of the company’s analytical department, Bohdan Popov, noted that requests came not only from Poland, but also from Germany, Denmark, and the Baltic countries.
«Russia has shown that it is not afraid to attack NATO countries directly. So NATO countries are now looking for a solution,» Popov explained.
The founder of the Wild Hornets charity, which also produces the Sting interceptor drone, told the Kyiv Independent that they receive inquiries from all over the world.
«But we know that this is most likely veiled industrial espionage to obtain a ready-made solution,» he speculated.
