As Meta.ua Ukraine reports, experts are currently working on an algorithm that will allow for a prompt response to complaints about closed shelters and are working on adding options previously suggested by local residents. Recall that in December 2024, a survey was launched in the application, based on which the developers will implement appropriate changes to the program.
In addition to accelerated payment for public transport and additional notification settings, several new services have been added to the application:
In addition, the application’s services were made accessible to people with visual impairments thanks to VoiceOver and TalkBack technologies. After that, the application’s interface and design were improved — in 2024, its design became even simpler and more aesthetic.
Currently, Kyiv Digital is used by about 3.3 million people: over the past year, more than 600 thousand people have installed the program. Over the same period of time, 864 thousand parking sessions were paid for in the application, about 3 million responses were provided to various surveys, and over 487 thousand signatures were successfully collected under various petitions. The number of transport card top-ups exceeded 3.2 million, and validations in public transport — 270 million.
It is known that the capital of Ukraine competes with leading European cities in terms of digitalization. This is evidenced by the Local Online Service Index, a rating created by the UN, where Kyiv ranks 13th in the list of the best cities in the world.
It is also worth mentioning the numerous awards of «Digital Kyiv» — a year ago, the capital of Ukraine was chosen as the winner in the nomination «Interaction of Municipalities with Citizens» at the WSA Awards, which were established with the support of the United Nations.
