Anthropic announced a multi-year, $200 million deal with cloud technology company Snowflake.
“Anthropic joins a select group of partners with whom we share a multi-million dollar collaboration, product-level innovation, and a track record of successful customer experiences around the world,” said Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake. “The combined power of Claude and Snowflake is fundamentally changing the way enterprises deploy scalable and context-aware AI on their most critical business data.”
This partnership is also seen as a joint initiative to promote AI agents into the corporate market, TechCrunch writes .
The Claude Sonnet 4.5 model will be the foundation for Snowflake Intelligence, the company’s AI service. Snowflake said its customers will be able to use Claude models, including Claude Opus 4.5, to conduct multimodal data analysis. Customers will also be able to build their own AI agents based on these models.
“Enterprises have spent years building secure, reliable data environments, and now they need AI that can operate in those environments without compromise,” said Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic. “This partnership brings Claude directly to Snowflake, where this data is already stored. This is an important step towards making advanced AI truly useful for business.”
