The Uklon application now allows you to buy bus tickets: how does it work?
On March 25, Ukrainian ride-hailing service Uklon launched a beta version of the Uklon Travel service, which allows you to book tickets for intercity and international bus flights directly in the mobile application — without switching to third-party services.
On March 25, Ukrainian ride-hailing service Uklon launched a beta version of the Uklon Travel service, which allows you to book tickets for intercity and international bus flights directly in the mobile application — without switching to third-party services.
In fact, this is another step in Uklon’s transformation from a mono-product into an ecosystem. Before that, the company had already developed ride-hailing, courier delivery Uklon Delivery, and the advertising platform Uklon Ads. Now it is adding another scenario — travel.
The idea is from Bukovel
The company says that for several years they tested demand through the seasonal Ski Bus to Bukovel — and it grew steadily. This became the trigger for scaling.
«We are building an ecosystem in which our services are present in various scenarios of users' lives. Today, when air connections are absent and the load on the railway is increasing, we are creating a single point of entry for planning trips,» explains CEO Serhiy Grishkov.
According to him, the goal is simple — to provide the opportunity to buy a ticket within Ukraine or to Europe in the same application where users are already used to ordering trips around the city.
How it works
The service itself works quite standardly for travel products, but is integrated into the familiar Uklon interface. The user selects the departure and arrival cities, the date — after that, the system shows available flights from carriers. Then you can view the details of the trip, select seats, enter passenger data and pay immediately.
Up to five tickets are available in one order — for yourself and four other companions. Purchased tickets are stored in the application in the «My trips» section: they can be shown upon boarding or issued a refund. Carriers will notify you directly about changes in the schedule.
The service is currently available in beta for Android, and the launch on iOS is expected within 24 hours.
Reference
Uklon is one of the largest ride-hailing platforms in Ukraine, operating since 2010 and currently present in 27 cities. In addition to Ukraine, the company also operates in Tashkent. Since 2025, the strategic owner of the service is Kyivstar, which owns 97% of the company.
