«The story with Uklon and Kyivstar is a mess. Maybe I’m stupid, but: 1. How does the operator affect the account in the Uklon application? 2. Why do Ukrainian operators provide confidential data to the taxi application?» she wrote .
The girl published screenshots of correspondence with the taxi service support operator, where they made it clear to her that they could do nothing because the user’s number was already assigned to another account. And one number cannot be assigned to two accounts.
Kyivstar also couldn’t help the girl.
Later, the dialogue with Uklon resumed. The company reported that due to the policy of non-disclosure of personal data, they cannot divulge users' phone numbers. «Kyivstar says that it is not their competence. Meanwhile, Uklon offers me to hack someone else’s account,» Vitalina wrote.
dev.ua reached out to Uklon for comment. They told us the following: «Our support service is aware of this situation and has already found a solution. Specialists are currently in contact with the rider to help her fix the current number in the application.
Since mobile operators re-release inactive numbers for sale after a certain period of time, such situations may sometimes arise. In such cases, you should contact our support.
