Uklon Autonomous. Should we expect an autonomous taxi in Ukraine in the near future? We received a comment

Uklon Company commented on the registration of the Uklon Autonomous trademark. As we wrote earlier, an application for a new brand appeared in the trademark register on April 1.

When registering, it was noted that the TM will apply to such classes of goods and services as road transportation, communications, gadgets, online ordering of transportation services, etc.

The dev.ua editorial team received a comment from the Uklon press office in response to your request:

«Registration of a trademark is a purely technical process. Currently, there is no talk of launching an autonomous car, because there are no prerequisites in Ukraine.»

Recall that in August 2025, Uklon CEO Sergey Grishkov actually said that Uklon would begin exploring cooperation models with autonomous vehicle companies in the near future.

«In Ukraine, it is necessary to test the AV system, understand the size of investments and capital investments in the road infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and legislative regulation. For example, for correct operation, there must be sufficiently good quality roads and uniform road markings everywhere,» said Grishkov.

CEO Uklon predicted that autonomous cars will have niche potential in Ukraine. According to him, their use in the coming years is possible in limited conditions, for example, in military logistics or on closed routes with high-quality markings.
