The updates are now available for download on Steam and contain 12 main points regarding improvements to gameplay mechanics and the gaming experience.
The plot is expanded and organically combined with the open world. The current part of the storyline now takes 15–20 hours to complete.
New ship models and naval battle locations. Brigantine and Battleship have been added - now ships in the game have from 8 to 52 guns. Naval battles can now take place not only in the open sea, but also in locations with islands.
Expanded variety of captain's cabins. New large cabins have been added for larger ships. All cabins have barricade gameplay options for a variety of boardings.
Added officers. You can now find officers in taverns and recruit them to your team. This allows you to create your own squadron of up to four ships.
Added documents and two types of new chests with combination locks. Chests with two-digit and four-digit codes are available. To open such locks, in each case, you need to solve a logical or mathematical puzzle encrypted in the document accompanying the chest.
Added the ability to visit your captain's cabin. You can now store loot in your own chests in your cabin instead of carrying everything in your backpack. When you change ships, chests are automatically transferred to the new ship.
Expanded voice acting. Quest dialogues have been voiced and two new languages for NPCs have been added - German and Chinese.
A variety of new sound effects have been added. The game now has more sound variations - for example, footsteps differ depending on the surface, as well as whether it is dry or wet.
Treasures of fallen sailors. In the sailor's loot, you can find notes with information about where money and jewelry are stored.
40 unique puzzles. Added more than 50 documents related to the search for the treasures of the fallen captains.
The ground combat system has been improved. The animations, timings, and soundtracks of ground combat have been improved to increase the sense of feedback from each action of the main character.
Naval squadron battles have been optimized. Optimized soundtracks, effects, ballistics physics, and many other important changes to ensure comfortable and smooth gameplay during battles of large squadrons of multi-gun ships.
Steam is currently running a summer sale, so you can get Corsairs Legacy with a 25% discount for UAH 326. As a reminder, the developers previously said that they were forced to say goodbye to part of the team due to financial difficulties related to low sales of the game.
