Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during the presentation of the "E-points" initiative at the "Army of Drones 2025" event, assessed the unmanned component over the past year.
"In the past year alone, 819,737 targets were hit by drones. We clearly record every hit," the president was quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine.
Zelenskyy emphasized the change in the paradigm of war. If earlier the answer to the question "who is stronger" depended on the number of artillery and manpower, now technology is becoming the decisive factor.
“Artillery matters now, but it’s different… War is going through an evolution, and everything is becoming extremely dependent on who is faster at applying technology and truly verifying what is happening on the battlefield,” he added.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately focused on the losses of the Russian army, comparing them to the Soviet war in Afghanistan. In December 2025 alone, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 35,000 occupiers.
"Over the 10 years of the war in Afghanistan, the Soviet army lost half as much as the Russians lost in one month of this war," the president summed up.
Earlier, the recently appointed Minister of Defense Mikhail Fedorov reported that the ministry's goals include producing 40,000 interceptor drones and killing 50,000 occupiers per month.
