According to the developers, the updated device does not require constant manual piloting during the mission. “The drone independently takes off, takes an optimal trajectory, catches up with and automatically captures the target,” the company notes. Operator intervention is reduced to the human-in-the-loop principle: a person only presses the launch button and confirms the command to destroy.
The interceptor operates on coordinates received from any type of radar via a universal multi-protocol interface. The military can monitor the process of destroying an enemy object in real time thanks to 2D and 3D visualization.
The declared range of LITAVR is up to 65 km, and the flight altitude reaches more than 9 km. Its own remote control system allows the operator to give the order to destroy from anywhere in the world. In the near future, F-Drones plans to conduct combat tests of the complex for its further integration into the army.
Recall that earlier, a Ukrainian operator first shot down a Russian Shahed kamikaze drone using the LITAVR interceptor. At that time, the presidential advisor on strategic issues, Oleksandr Kamyshin, reported that the control of the device was successfully carried out at a considerable distance from the drone.
