Ukrainian-Polish company delivers post machines to Britain's Royal Mail, hoping it will help it compete with Amazon

The Ukrainian-Polish company Modern Expo announced the start of cooperation with Royal Mail, the British Royal Mail, for which it provided post machines and software for them.
This was reported on the Facebook pages of Modern Expo, as well as its CEO Petro Pylypiuk.
“Modern Expo successfully implemented the first major stage of cooperation with Royal Mail in less than 3 months… Together, we held dozens of individual meetings and workshops, during which we discussed product design, analyzed locations, talked about customer care, UX/UI, etc. The cooperation also included a visit to Modern Expo’s production and installation visits to other operating markets to ensure that every detail met global standards,” the company notes.
Modern Expo added that the company cooperates with Royal Mail as a turnkey solution provider and, in addition to mailboxes and software, also provides comprehensive support for these solutions.
In turn, the British publication The Telegraph writes that Royal Mail is thus trying to intensify its competition with Amazon in this segment.
According to the publication, the first 250 ATMs will be launched in early 2025. The first of them has already opened outside the Royal Mail Mount Pleasant postal center in Clerkenwell, central London.
The depots will be accessible 24/7 for customers to collect their parcels. The publication also adds that Royal Mail is trying to focus on developing parcel delivery amid a long-term and large-scale decline in the number of letters sent.
Over the past two decades, the annual volume of letters has fallen from 20 billion to 7 billion and is expected to fall to just 4 billion in five years. Around 70% of Royal Mail's revenue now comes from parcels. However, the postal service is losing market share to Amazon and other competitors.
“With the continued growth of online shopping, we are expanding our range of services for customers to make sending and receiving parcels more convenient than ever. The rollout of Royal Mail lockers is good news for online shoppers, small businesses that send their orders, and the UK population as a whole,” said Jack Clarkson, a spokesman for Royal Mail.
Let us remind you that the co-founders of the Modern Expo company are Pole Bohdan Lukasik and Ukrainian Petro Pylypiuk.
