Ukrainian-language streams in 2025 collected over 319 million hours of viewing and set a new online record

In 2025, Ukrainian-language streaming continued to grow despite war, shelling, and power outages. Over the year, Ukrainian-language streaming gained over 319 million hours of viewing, and the maximum number of simultaneous viewers exceeded 923,000 for the first time.

According to Ukrainian Esports & Streaming, the total broadcast time in Ukrainian for the year reached over 3.1 million hours, which is 17,3% more than in 2024. At the same time, the dynamics during the year were uneven: the best indicators fell on the first quarter, while in the fourth quarter the total viewing decreased to 68 million hours compared to 91.7 million at the beginning of the year. Analysts attribute this to the increase in the number of power outages at the end of 2025.

YouTube remains the main platform for Ukrainian-language broadcasts, accounting for almost 79% of all viewing, or over 251 million hours. Twitch lags significantly behind in terms of volume, but is gradually strengthening its position with a share of almost 20% and 63 million hours of viewing, mainly due to gaming and esports broadcasts.

On YouTube, the information channels with the most hours were: TSN (almost 40 million hours) and ICTV Facts (over 30 million). The highest simultaneous online on the platform was recorded during the football broadcast of the Real Madrid — Barcelona match — over 213,000 viewers. On Twitch, the record of the year was set by streamer Leb1ga while commentating on the NAVI — FaZe match at the CS Major, when online exceeded 58,000.

The gaming segment remains a key driver of Ukrainian-language streaming. Counter-Strike garnered the most hours of viewing (over 20 million), followed by Dota 2 (10.9 million). Almost 70% of all viewing was for content with a PEGI-18 rating, which indicates a mature and stable audience for Ukrainian streams.

Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the Ukrainian esports segment continues to grow at record rates. Over the year, the volume of viewings of Ukrainian-language broadcasts increased by 30,5%, and the Ukrainian language has already taken fourth place in the world in terms of peak viewership at Counter-Strike tournaments.
