Programmer Oleksandr Koval has created a 3D printing exchange. This platform is a bridge between those who need printing services and equipment owners looking for new customers. Among the advantages of the project, the author highlights the absence of commissions and completely free creation of orders.
3D Task allows you to quickly create an order and receive quotes from craftsmen at the same time. This eliminates the need to correspond with each printer separately and explain the task anew each time. You just need to choose the best option for you and contact the artist directly.
How it works:
you need to describe the order in detail, add a photo and, if possible, a 3D model (this will speed up the process and make the work cheaper);
Oleksandr notes that the platform's base of performers includes both beginners and large farms with dozens or hundreds of 3D printers. Thanks to this, it is easy to find craftsmen for any tasks: from large-scale wholesale batches to small individual orders.
The platform went live in June. At the time of publication, it had already brought together 53 customers and 585 printers.
During the development of 3D Task, Oleksandr Koval used artificial intelligence tools, in particular Gemini and Claude, alternating them depending on the presence of limits. The main emphasis was placed on a systematic approach and precise prompts.
"This wasn't written in one evening, so the approaches and testing were at a high level (many things even on regular freelance exchanges are done worse in terms of quality or technology)," the developer said on Reddit.
