Ukrainian hackers from the 4BID group said they had hacked a number of Russian websites and posted birthday greetings to the 3rd Army Corps on them.
According to the Telegram channel 4BID, the action was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the creation of the 3rd Army Corps. The published screenshots show that the hacked pages contained appeals in support of the Ukrainian military, mentions of the Third Assault Corps, and congratulations on the anniversary of the corps.
Judging by the publication, it is about the substitution of content on sites after hacking. Instead of the usual content on some resources, banners and texts with congratulations appeared. One of the screenshots, in particular, shows the website of the PKU «Correctional Colony No. 18» of the Gufsin of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region, where the page posted congratulations for the 3rd Army Corps and an appeal against the Kremlin regime.
In its post, 4BID also published a list of resources that the hackers claimed were compromised. These include:
62.112.127.117
i-shop.ru
spanishcosmetics.ru
glavpara.ru
mertech.ru
snabway.ru
bronzedeluxe.ru
centr-balkon.ru
Some of these resources appear to be commercial sites, but the publication also includes screenshots of pages related to the Russian penitentiary system. This suggests that the campaign was designed not only for a symbolic informational effect, but also to publicly demonstrate the vulnerability of Russian online resources.
The group’s statement also states that the list of sites may increase by the end of the day. The hackers presented the attack itself as a public salute to the Ukrainian military. In a broader context, such hacks work not only as an information campaign, but also as a way to show that even Russian civilian and state-related resources remain vulnerable to external interference.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Ukrainian hackers obtained a package of documents that allows you to see who exactly orders, performs, and finances individual works related to the systems of the Russian Federation’s strategic nuclear forces.
