Industria 2, the sequel to the retro-futuristic action game from Bleakmill, has been released on Steam. For Ukrainian players, the release was notable thanks to the official localization, which was worked on by the UNLOCTEAM agency, which involved young specialists from Kropyvnytskyi as part of their professional practice.
As reported by UNLOCTEAM, the translation was the result of cooperation with the Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University. The work on the game texts was carried out, in particular, by student interns Valeria Skotarenko and Daniil Radko.
“We are grateful to Headup Games for the opportunity to involve our interns from the Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University in Kropyvnytskyi in the translation… This is a great opportunity for students to experience the entire process of game localization,” UNLOCTEAM noted.
The team also warned about a temporary technical glitch: due to a developer error, some of the descriptions of items and training elements are currently displayed in the original language, but the authors are already working on returning all Ukrainian text to the game.
Industria 2 is a story-driven sequel to the 2021 game, combining fast-paced gunplay and robot hide-and-seek in a mysterious universe. However, the project's technical condition at launch has drawn criticism. The Steam review rating currently stands at just 49% due to stability and save system issues.
The developers from Bleakmill admitted that the launch was unsuccessful and apologized to the players.
“The criticism is fair. We’re sorry to disappoint you all. It hurts us to see such a rating, because we’ve put all our effort into this game for 4 years. It’s only going to get better,” the studio said. The team has already released two emergency patches and is preparing further updates to fix stability.
The original Industria was a notable indie hit thanks to its atmosphere and interesting setting. The sequel was built on Unreal Engine 5 with a focus on deeper interaction with the environment and an expanded combat system.

ARC Raiders developers mistakenly added Ukrainian localization. The cockerel Brukhtyar has already disappeared from the game, but will definitely return
