Over 1,000 visitors came to the Ukrainian video game festival in San Francisco

The festival was organized by the Palaye publishing agency, the Leleka Foundation, and the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco. It was held alongside the famous Game Developers Conference.
Over the course of two days, event visitors had the opportunity to play games from Ukrainian independent developers, listen to a discussion with representatives of GSC Game World, Burny Games, and ID@Xbox, and even try real borscht, as well as participate in a charity auction for Ukrainian frontline medics.
In total, over 1,200 visitors registered for the event.
«GDC is one of the key technology events in San Francisco. Ukraine has long been known for its talented developers. But this year, for the first time, we managed to present the Ukrainian video game industry as an entire sector of the creative economy,» said Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco.
According to Palaye CEO Igor Pospisny, the organizers managed to create not just a showcase, but to give visitors a new cultural experience. They were surprised by the diversity of Ukrainian games.

The Ukrainian Games Festival also featured a panel discussion on «how to navigate the game distribution industry in uncertain times.» It featured Maria Hryhorovych (GSC Game World), Olena Lobova (Burny Games), Chloe Giusti (ID@Xbox), and Irena Pereira (Unleashed Games).
