A Ukrainian school team won a bronze medal at the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT) which took place in Zurich (Switzerland). Another Ukrainian student team took part in the International Physicists' Tournament (IPT) in Stillwater (USA).
A Ukrainian school team won a bronze medal at the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT) which took place in Zurich (Switzerland). Another Ukrainian student team took part in the International Physicists' Tournament (IPT) in Stillwater (USA).
IYPT and IPT are international scientific competitions focused on finding non-standard solutions and developing research thinking.
Unlike traditional Olympiads, participants in physics tournaments work on real scientific challenges throughout the year, conduct experiments, and develop their own solutions in the format of intellectual debates in English. During the competition, teams not only present the results of their research, but also act as opponents and reviewers of the work of other participants.
This year, a total of 35 school and 20 student teams participated in both tournaments.
The key result of the Ukrainian team at this year’s IYPT was the «Monochromator» project. The team presented their own research into an optical system that uses a sugar solution and polarization filters to transmit light of only a certain wavelength.
Supported the participation of future engineers in international physics tournaments Ajax Systems.

For Ukrainian schoolchildren, participation in it is an opportunity to work alongside the strongest teams in the world and represent the domestic scientific school. Thanks to Ajax Systems, the team was able to focus on the most important thing — preparation and performance,» says Zakhar Maizelis, head of the Ukrainian team, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Honored Teacher of Ukraine.

We want talented schoolchildren to work on complex tasks, gain international experience, and represent Ukraine at the most prestigious world competitions,» says Olga Nagornyuk, Ajax Systems Educational Programs Manager.
Thanks to the Ajax Next program, almost 200 young scientists participated in international mathematics Olympiads and physics tournaments, as well as joined summer mathematics camps.
