In the fall of 2024, Himera successfully sold its tactical radios outside of Ukraine for the first time, namely to the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), reports Defence Blog.
“They decided to test our product and assess whether it makes sense to implement our technology on a larger scale in the US military,” the company said.
In February, the startup announced a partnership with Quantropi, a company that develops the most innovative technologies to provide quantum-safe data protection.
The partnership involves integrating quantum-protected encryption into Himera G1 PRO tactical radios, R1 repeaters, B1 autonomous repeaters and E1 internet extenders. Under the agreement, Quantropi acts as the exclusive distributor of Himera products in the US and Canada with the right to promote them in select NATO and allied markets.
The sale to the US Air Force Research Laboratory marks an important milestone for Himera, positioning the Ukrainian company as a new player in the global defense communications sector.
