Ukrainian company RC Direction presented its new Interceptor 2.0 at IDEF 2025 (Istanbul) — an interceptor drone for destroying enemy drones in real time. We tell you what Interceptor 2.0 can do.
The bird has a turbojet engine and can reach a maximum speed of 320 km/h, a cruising speed of 220 km/h. It can fly both day and night.
The drone is equipped with the ChaklunLRS system, which provides automatic target detection, tracking and capture. If there is no threat, the drone returns to base.
The interception range is up to 30 km in conjunction with a «RADA» type radar, and the communication and telemetry system operates at a distance of up to 75 km.
The platform weight is 10.4 kg, payload is 1.6 kg, wingspan is 1.5 m, length is 1.65 m. The drone is launched using a catapult and operates in wind conditions up to 12 m/s and temperatures from –30 °C to +40 °C.
Interceptor 2.0 is designed to counter modern tactical drones such as Shahed or «Lancet». It demonstrates high mobility, speed and autonomy of decision-making; resistance to interference in the fight against electronic warfare; compactness, quick launch and ease of transportation. Protected communication architecture (analog + digital video transmission) allows you to remain invisible to the enemy and not be tracked.
