This was stated by Valeriy Yakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA, which has also been the official distributor of EcoFlow in Ukraine since 2021. It is the charging stations of this manufacturer that make up the majority of the equipment used by Ukrainians, the businessman claims.
So, thanks to this total amount of energy stored in portable stations, Ukrainians have assembled the largest decentralized energy system in Europe, Yakovenko believes.
And these are just portable charging stations and storage systems that operate in apartments, private homes, hospitals, offices, workshops, farms, etc. (excluding large businesses). All of them can simultaneously generate over 3 GW of power.
"If we translate this into the scale of the state, it is approximately: 6 medium-sized nuclear reactors or the full capacity of the South Ukrainian NPP," Yakovenko explained.
