The Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched an unprecedented attack on the Russian military and economic infrastructure in Novorossiysk in terms of scale and range of weapons. The combined operation simultaneously used more than 15 different domestic developments, including missiles, strike UAVs, and naval drones, which successfully hit enemy ships and terminals.
The details of this operation were reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the consequences of the strikes are confirmed by data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and OSINT researchers.
According to the head of state, Ukrainian weapons manufacturers and the military managed to establish coordinated operation of an entire arsenal of long-range weapons. The attack on the night of August 12 involved the missile systems "Palyanytsya", "Peklo", "Bars" and the modernized "Dovhy Neptun". The air component of the strike was provided by a whole galaxy of Ukrainian drones: MICH, Fire Point, "Ramzai", "Sichen", "Trust", "Kharyok", "Bober", "Lyuty" and "Dovbush". At sea, unmanned boats "Sargan" and "Mamay" were operating.
"For the first time, more than 15 different means of destruction worked together in one operation. It is quite right that Ukraine is responding to the Russian war, and it is Russia that can and must end this war of its own," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized, calling such strikes "long-range sanctions."
Regarding the consequences of the attack, the General Staff confirmed the destruction of four Russian warships. In particular, the frigates Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen were damaged - according to analysts, the hits fell in the areas of the Kalibr missile launchers and radar systems. Also among the targets hit were the patrol ship Vasily Bykov, the Project 266M minesweeper, the reconnaissance ship Priazovye, and the research vessel Viktor Cherokov.
OSINT researchers add that in addition to the fleet, significant damage was sustained by the enemy's economic infrastructure, which works to finance the war. Strikes were recorded on the Sheskharis oil export terminal, where the main berth for large tankers and, probably, the Aframax tanker itself during loading were damaged. In addition, the NKHP grain terminal was hit - elevators and transport hubs were damaged there.
